What Teachers Are Saying
French teacher superstar Monsieur Steve LOVES "Trilingual Me! Moi, trilingue!"
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I recently acquired a copy of “Trilingual Me! Moi, trilingue!” written by Inna Figotina. It’s about a little girl who struggles with language concepts in her mother tongue of Russian. She then immigrates to Canada where she has to learn not only one but TWO more languages!!! But through hard work and perseverance, this young girl not only masters three languages BUT she eventually became a second language teacher herself! And SURPRISE, it’s a true story, and who doesn’t love a true story?!? 💕 The level of French is actually a good fit for most classes and I can see this being used with the kindies all the way up to the lower Junior grades!
A great resource for a language teacher!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This book is a terrific resource to use in the second language classroom not only for the wonderful story itself, but also to launch a discussion on plurilingual identities. As classes become more and more diverse, student discussions on building hybrid/multiple cultural identities is essential! What an inspirational story! I absolutely love this book!
Great picture book for home or school!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
My daughter and I really enjoyed reading this book together. I love that it is written in both English and French. It has helped challenge me to brush up on my French reading skills, while peaking my daughter's interest in learning a second language. I also appreciate the book's overall positive message about overcoming challenges and the opportunities/sense of diversity being multilingual brings. As a teacher, I know that this would be a great book to use either in French class or as a general read aloud. It shows kids the beauty of diversity and the specialness of learning or knowing another language.
Truly wonderful! Un livre exceptionnel et inspirant!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I LOVE this book because it speaks about trilingualism. There are very few books that shine a light on speaking more than one language and the joy that comes with it. As someone who is surrounded by language, I truly appreciate this book and love sharing books like this with students that can also relate with the author. This is a highly recommended book by a wonderful author. It was great getting to know her though an author interview. Bravo et bien fait, Inna!

What Parents Are Saying
LOVE LOVE LOVE this book!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Love love love this book! We read lots of books in French and lots of books in English, but I love that I can read to my son in both languages with this book. Wonderfully illustrated and a heartwarming story about achieving your dreams.
An empowering story of language learning
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The story was so relatable as someone who had overcome a speech impairment and whose son went to speech therapy. I love that the author’s speech impairment, and tools she learned because of it, became an powering asset. My son giggled at the picture tied in a knot. Great story with fun rhyme-scheme and bonus that it’s written in two languages! My sons love hearing it in both languages.

Encouraging book for kids learning languages for the first time!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is a great read aloud book that offers encouragement to kids of any age whom might face challenges learning new languages. Written in a light-hearted prose with colourful illustrations, it is in itself an inspiring story, as it is autobiographical. A great gift for my young niece as she goes to her next language class.
